Challenge

Royal Institute (RI) had a vision: to become a leading international higher education provider, inspiring excellence and innovation not just in their country, but in the entire region. To realize this vision, RI planned an aggressive capacity expansion, which included a state-of-the-art, 8-story campus. They needed a technology partner who could deploy a comprehensive end-to-end Extra Low Voltage (ELV) infrastructure. The project was not just about installing hardware; it also required the integration of a sophisticated Library Management system with an Access Control system using RFID labels and cards to ensure security.

Solution

VS ONE World was entrusted with the critical task of deploying the ELV infrastructure. Our team set to work, installing a Cisco LAN and Wi-fi system, Planet IP Camera surveillance, Fortigate Network Security, Access Control, TOA Public Address System, Alcatel PBX, and Kehua UPS. We also established a Panduit Structured Cabling and Optical Fiber Backbone to ensure seamless connectivity throughout the campus.

One of the unique challenges was the integration of the Library Management system with the Access Control using RFID labels and cards. Our team expertly set up RFID gates as part of an anti-theft strategy for the Library Management system, ensuring that the Institute’s resources were well-protected.

Results

VS ONE World successfully deployed the end-to-end ELV infrastructure, meeting RI’s specific requirements and exceeding their expectations. The integration of the Library Management system with Access Control using RFID technology has significantly improved the security of the library resources.

Today, the Royal Institute stands as a testament to technological innovation in the field of higher education. Their state-of-the-art campus is not just a hub of learning, but also a symbol of their commitment to excellence and innovation.

Looking Forward

Our partnership with the Royal Institute doesn’t end with this project. We’re committed to supporting them as they continue to inspire excellence and innovation in higher education.
